We are the Thunder Bay Paranormal Society. Our mission is to investigate claims of unexplained phenomena and attempt to discover the cause or causes of the alleged paranormal experiences.

Using a combination of skeptical and traditional paranormal investigation techniques, scientific and location research, TBParanormal aims to test for all reasonable natural explanations. Like within the scientific realm, our ultimate goal is to debunk or falsify hypotheses. If we cannot debunk the claims using every reasonable natural explanation, we deem the claims to be unexplained.

We conduct our investigations by using multiple IR video cameras on DVR systems, handheld IR video cameras, digital photography, digital voice recorders, motion sensors, emf detectors, vibration detectors, digital thermometers, and other devices to examine a location in search of alleged paranormal activity.

Our team, though not above using the term, hesitates to call something paranormal. We are not omnipotent and thus we may miss a logical explanation for why something might be happening. We also don't shy away from the term. If evidence came to us that was overwhelming and that we couldn't dispute, we would gladly use the term. Think of paranormal investigations the same way you would think of a criminal investigation. Just as you are innocent until proven guilty, claims are normal until proven paranormal.

We do not, and will not ever charge a fee for our services. We also will not request any sort of donation for our work. We are doing this to help you understand what you are experiencing, as well as to help us further our understanding of alleged paranormal activity. Any cost incurred (including travel to the site) will be covered by the team.
